Asthma, a Greek word, is an allergic condition, which normally occurs when body reacts to the allergens. It is one of the difficult among respiratory diseases. An asthma patient suffers from breathlessness frequently. He may be normal completely in between.

Asthma Causes

Asthma may be caused by a variety of factors such as an allergy caused due to drugs, food, weather conditions, dust and perfumes apart from other irritants.

Asthma Types:

Two types of asthma include Idiosyncratic and allergic. Allergic asthma is generally related with family history of allergic diseases such as eczema and hay fever.

Asthma Treatments

Asthma could be cured completely with appropriate treatment. Many types of treatments are available to cure asthma.

One of the popular treatments to cure asthma using live fish stuffed with medicine in Hyderabad, Andhrapradesh, India is discussed below:

Several people, who suffer from asthma, come to Hyderabad to cure their asthma using wriggling fish stuffed with herbal medicine. Members of the Bathini Goud family are offering the treatment for free for the past 50 years. The treatment is free but the patients need to buy a 2” Murrel fish. They need to swallow the live fish stuffed with secret herbal medicine. The live fish, which would be alive for 15 minutes inside the body, would clear the throat of phlegm. The herbal medicine would be kept in the mouth of live fish. The fish would clear the phlegm inside the lungs as it flutters. The patients are obligated to take medicine for 4 years for complete cure. The medicine is offered to patients only two days a year during Mrigasira solar phase.

Asthma Treatment with Ginger

Mix a cup of fenugreek decoction with a teaspoonful of ginger juice. Add honey for taste. This formula works well for asthma patients.

Asthma Treatment with Garlic

Insert 10 garlic cloves in 30 ml of boiled milk. The patient should take this mixture once a day for effective treatment.

Diets Suitable for Asthma

The persons suffering from asthma should take more fruits, grains, sprouted seeds and green vegetables. They should avoid or limit the intake of proteins, fats and carbohydrates as they form acids. They should not take foods such as rice, yogurt, lentils and sugar that tend to develop phlegm. Intake of processed foods, strong tea, alcoholic beverages, sauces, coffee and fried foods should be prevented.
