How to Search a program or file on Vista?

vit Some may find window vista slower and bit complicated windows than XP but in reality Vista is much powerful and have variety of options that XP lacks. Finding a program manually checking every folder or file that you have created may take you entire day.

Our computer gives us an easy option to search the files or programs that we need and it does all the searching for you in a jiffy. All you need to do is detail it a little information about the file you want it to search. You can just type the date and it will pop up all the files that you saved on that particular date.

Instructions:

Step 1

When on using Windows Vista you need to search for a file easily and quickly, then you can choose a shortcut method. Firstly go to the Start button that flashes on your desktop screen. And click on it.

Step 2

There will be a pop-up window which appears and various options are present to choose from. On the right hand side you will see a Search option. Just click on that option which will then let a window to pop up.


Step 3

In the Vista version all you need to do is type the name of the file or you can also write any information about that particular file.

Step 4

On the top at the right corner you will notice a bar where in you can fill in any kind of information and the computer will then list all of the files that contain those alphabets or even numbers.

Step 5

It will refine your search. You can search the required file from the files listed or further refine the search by typing the entire name of your file.
