In order to make Italian-style chicken cutlets you need two full chicken breasts, one-fourth cup of grated Parmesan cheese, four slices of Mozzarella cheese, one-fourth cup of oil, one tablespoon of water, quarter cup of flour, three-fourth cup of dry bread crumbs, and one beaten egg.

You also need one-fourth teaspoon of dried basil leaves, one teaspoon of dried oregano leaves, one-fourth teaspoon of salt, one-eight teaspoon of garlic powder, and one can of tomato sauce for excellent flavor.

Steps for Making Italian-Style Chicken Cutlets

Make sure that your skin, and bone the chicken breasts and cut them into halves. Keep one half of the chicken breast between two portions of waxed paper or plastic wrap, while making sure that the boned surface is up. Lightly pound the chicken using a rolling pin, starting from the center. You can also use the flat portion of a meat mallet.

Stop pounding when it is nearly one-fourth inch thick. Repeat this procedure with all the other pieces of chicken. Therefore, you will be able to get four cutlets. Cover all the four cutlets with flour.

In a bowl, mix the bread crumbs, salt, and oregano together. Take another bowl and mix together water and beaten egg in it.
