Ingredients for Sago Dumplings
First of all make sure that you have all the ingredients at home. You need one cup of sago, five green chilies, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one cup of roasted peanuts, three potatoes, one-fourth cup of coriander leaves, vegetable oil, salt, and one teaspoon of cumin seeds.
Steps for Making Sago Dumplings
Boil the potatoes and mash them. Finely chop the chilies. Make a coarse powder of the peanuts. Once these are ready you need to soak the sago in sufficient water. Make sure that you keep it covered for about three hours. After that you have to drain away the extra water. Now you have to combine the sago, roasted peanuts, mashed potato, green chilies, cumin seeds, coriander, lemon juice, and salt. You can also add some chopped mint leaves if you want to.
When then paste is ready you have to make small balls out of them. Each ball should be the size of a lemon. Slightly flatten the sago balls using your palm. Now it is time for frying the sago dumplings. Heat some vegetable oil in a wok, over medium heat. When the oil is hot, you have to drop the dumplings one at a time. Fry the dumplings till they become golden brown. Thus, you must have noticed that the recipe is very easy.
