How to benefit from papaya

ppaPapaya is a very healthy and tasty fruit to eat.  It is rich in various vitamins and minerals, and has healing properties.  Apart from health giving properties, papaya also works well for skin ailments and is a cheap and effective home remedy for skin care. 

Papaya contains vitamin A, C, E and has low content of sodium.  It is fat free and has very less content of cholesterol.  It prevents formation of cataract, hypertension and coronary disease.  It also acts as an anti oxidant, and is a very useful remedy for treating constipation, indigestion or stomach upset.  Papaya and its seeds are also known to treat intestinal worms.  Papaya is also a fruit you can consume during fever.

Make papaya a part of your breakfast, as it is health giving and low in fat.  Eating papaya for meals or dinner is also advisable, as it aids the digestion process.  Papaya is helpful in preventing gas and acidity.  Due to low fat, cholesterol and help in digestion, papaya is also considered as a safe fruit for reducing weight naturally.

Papaya ice cream is a refreshing and tasty dessert you can eat, especially during summer.  Papaya milkshake is also a filling and healthy drink you can have.

Due to abundance of vitamin E and A, papaya can be used to treat skin ailments and nourish it.  Apply paste of papaya and leave it on the face for 15-20 minutes.  It cleans the pores and gives a soft and supple feeling to the skin.

You can make papaya face mask with mashed papaya and oatmeal.  Leave it on for 20-30 minutes and rinse in water.  It clears the pores, reduces oiliness and prevents acne.  Papaya also moisturizes the skin.

It can be used to smoothen the dead skin in the soles.  Wash your feet thoroughly or dip it in warm water for 10-15 minutes, to make the skin supple.  Apply paste of mashed papaya on the rough skin on the foot and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.  It enables peeling of dead hard skin and smoothens the surface.
