How about preparing a nice pudding next Sunday? You will be able to surprise your family with this delightful and mouthwatering recipe. This pudding is not boring but something, which uses bread and caramelized pear. If it sounds interesting then you should follow these steps and learn how to make bread and pear pudding.
Prepare Your Kitchen
What are the ingredients that should be ready in your kitchen? You need 340 grams of multigrain bread, which you should chop into1-inch cubes. You also need 3 big, ripe, and thinly sliced pears, 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of dark honey, 2 tablespoons of canola oil, two and three-fourth cups of low-fat milk, 3 tablespoons of light brown sugar, and 2 lightly beaten eggs. The spices and flavors needed are 1/8 teaspoon of powdered cloves, 1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon, 2 pinches of allspice, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
Set the temperature of the oven to 350 F and preheat. Use cooking spray to grease a baking dish. Take a baking sheet and bake bread cubes spread in only one layer, just for 5 minutes. Keep it away.
In a frying pan, let the butter melt. Add canola oil and the sliced pear slices. When the pear slices become brown, add a dash of allspice and keep aside. Place fifty percent of the lightly baked bread on the baking dish. Next add half of the pear slices on top and again follow with another layer of bread.
