8-10 raw bananas
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
Oil for frying
Procedure To Make Crispy And Salty Banana Chips
First wash and peel off the bananas well. Then cut them into equal and thin slices with the help of a chip cutter, now add turmeric powder and salt to the banana chips and mix them gently. Keep the mixture aside for about 5-10 minutes. Take a kadai and heat sufficient oil into it to deep fry these banana chips. Now put some banana chips into the kadai and fry them from both the sides till they are crispy.
Now remove them from the kadai and fry the remaining banana chips in the same manner. Let these chips cool down completely then you can store them in an air tight container for a month and eat them whenever you like. This is the simple way to make Crispy Banana chips, serve them during tea time or eat them whenever you wish.
Sweet Banana Chips
5 raw green bananas
Oil for deep frying
Ingredients for Syrup
2 1/2 cups sugar
21/2 cups water
1 small cinnamon stick
11/4 tsp vanilla

Take the bananas and wash them nicely. Now peel and cut them into thin slices with the help of a chip cutter. Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry these banana chips for about 10 minutes or till they are golden and crisp. Remove from the flame and keep them aside to cool down.
Take a large vessel and add all the ingredients for making the syrup. Heat this mixture and bring it to a boil. Cook the syrup for 8-10 minutes. Now dip the fried banana chips into the syrup and remove them immediately. Your sweet banana chips are ready. Serve them and believe me you will love them.
You can use coconut oil to fry these banana chips to get that unique flavour. You can add red chilli powder or black pepper powder to get the spicy flavour. You can place the banana chips on an absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Remember although these banana chips are low in cholesterol and sodium but they are high in saturated fats so have them in reasonable measures. 1 cup of banana chips provides around 218 calories (serving size 42.0g).
