Hiccups

Hiccup is a condition in which ‘hic’ sound come from the opening and closing of the mucous membrane attaching to the larynx. The diaphragm that separates the chest from abdomen moves up and down to facilitate breathing. When this process is obstructed due to any reason, Hic sound starts appearing from the mouth. If hiccup persist for more than a day, it is alarming and may highlight a symptom of another severe disease. hiccup can also be due to fast chewing of food. In ayurveda it is known as hikka.

I usually doesn't get hiccups often but when I have them. They stay for a long time.

Drinking water is not for me. I tried it many times but didn't work. well when hiccups come I usually observe good eating habits and stop worrying about anything. It works!!

But for immediate relief, everytime I keep trying things like everyone. Once I get involved in any interesting activity. They just disappear.
