Home remedies for Fibromyalgia
Given below are some of the most effective home remedies for fibromyalgia.
Turmeric:
Turmeric is considered as one of the best gift by nature to mankind. It is used for treatment of numerous diseases, even cancer. Turmeric is quite effective for the treatment of fibromyalgia as well. Take 1-2 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of water. Take this drink 2-3 times a day. Patient will feel fast relief from muscular pain.
Cherry
Ripe cherry cooked in jaggery and butter is also quite effective in treating fibromyalgia. Take frying pan and add 2-3 tablespoon of butter/ghee to it. Add 10-12 cherries into it, after some time add 2-3 tablespoon of jaggery to it and cook for some time. Allow it to cool. Take this mixture 2-3 times in a day. This is one of the useful home remedies for fibromyalgia.
Oatmeal:
This is rather a very tasty ayurvedic medicine. Cook 4-5 tablespoon of oatmeal in milk, and add cherry and jaggery to it. Mix it well, allow it to boil till oatmeal is cooked completely. Patient should take this food 3-4 times a day. It is lite and very healthy.
Fruits:
Radish, cranberry (karoda) are some of the effective fruits for treating fibromyalgia. Take freshly prepared cranberry or radish juice, this will help fighting with severe muscular pain. Similarly, raw papaya is also very good for treating fibromyalgia. Grind 8-10 papaya seeds and mix it in a glass of water. Bring it to boil and later drain it and take 2-3 times a day. Other fruits like oranges are very good for curing fibromyalgia. Patient should take plain fresh orange juice, or mix cod liver oil into it.
Vegetables:
Similarly, vegetables like cabbage, carrot, beat, etc., are quite helpful in treating fibromyalgia. Patient suffering from this disease should take a glass of freshly prepared juice of these raw vegetables 2-3 times a day. These juices are really quite effective and healthy.
Green leaves like pigweed (bathua) helps in reducing the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Patient suffering from fibromyalgia should take pigweed leaf juice in an empty stomach early morning. One may add little amount of sugar or salt to it. This is really an effective remedy.
Brinjal:
Though it is belief brinjal does not have much to offer as ayurvedic medicine. However, brinjal is quite effective for patient suffering from fibromaylgia. Take 2-3 small brinjal and cook on fire. Add 2-3 drops of castor oil, garlic, and cumin seeds into it. Add salt for taste and if available also add finely chopped green coriander leaves. Patient should take this 1-2 times a day. Repeat this for 1-2 months, patient will definitely show better result. This is one of the best home remedies for fibromyalgia.
Ginger
Ginger is one of the oldest home remedy and is very effective for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Patient suffering from this disease should take small pieces of raw ginger in his diet or can also take 2-3 tablespoon of ginger juice 2-3 times a day.
Lemon juice
Freshly prepared lemon juice with honey is another effective remedy for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Take equal amount (2-3 tablespoon) of honey and lemon juice and mix it in a glass of lukewarm water. This is one of the important home remedies for fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia Diet
Balanced diet is important for the treatment of several diseases. Patient suffering from fibromyalgia should eat plenty of roughage, cabbage, salads, carrot, reddish, etc. Also plenty of fluid like plain water and freshly prepared juice should be included in the diet. Coconut water, coconut milk is also good for such patients.
Apart from the above mentioned home remedies, massage with the mixture of olive and kerosene oil. Take both these oils in equal quantity and make a mixture. Gently massage the affected portion 2-3 times a day. Do this for a month and see a great result. Other medicine for massage is warm vinegar. Apply warm vinegar over the affected muscles. Massage with Spiegel seeds is also very effective. Patient should avoid certain things like excess intake of oily or junk food. Sweets and sugar-containing foods should be strictly avoided. Exercise and meditation is also very important for the fibromyalgia patients. Breathing exercises and stress-free life are other ways for curing fibromyalgia. Sleep a lot, at least 7-8 hours.
