Cover boils with these leaves. Similarly, boil 15-20 neem leaves in ½ liter of water. Allow it to boil until the mixture reduces to 1/3 of its constituent. This extract will kill the germs, soothes the infected skin, and gradually helps in the releasing puss and blood. Sometimes patient may find difficulty in applying it over the boils, they can take this extract with lemon juice in the empty stomach, early in the morning. This should be taken till the boils are not treated. However, it is recommended to take this juice at least a week after the treatment so that all the germs should be killed completely.

Turmeric and cumin seed:

Turmeric is considered as the oldest home remedy for the treatment various severe diseases. Roast turmeric powder in low flame. Take 4-5 tablespoon of roasted turmeric powder and make a paste using water. Apply it gently over the boils. Turmeric helps in maturing the boils and hence fast release of germs and puss. I've got a red spot bulged out, hot and itchy about the size of a nickle, in-between my shoulder blades. It's quite painful. I just muddled a piece of garlic to a paste and mixed it with an OTC ointment containing benzocaine (which only relieves pain). After a hot shower I spread paste on a bandage and applied. I just don't know how long to leave it on. It's 8pm, I'll wait till morning and remove; I'll report back with a comment to let you all know how it goes.

Boils normally occur on the face, neck, thighs, buttocks and armpits. Most of the boils will heal without the requirement for treatment within 2 weeks. Antibiotics are normally only required if there are complications, like the infection is spreading into the deeper layer of the skin. For the treatment for boils you can also use Boilx.

Ok, I've seen so many comments here and I must agree with all of you. As we speak I have onion placed on two of my boils on my testicles. I have another one that was just lanced a couple of days ago, I am glad I don't have any in my face or neck. But all the ones that have come out are from the waist down. They are in fact very painful. I never knew about boils until now. At first, I thought I was sick with something else like HIV or something but then I went to the Doctor and after exams the Doctor confirmed the boils. They did a culture on my boil that she cut open and found out I had the MRSA bacteria, I am not sure if some of you have done it, but a culture would determine what type of bacteria you have. I am using antibiotic together with a special shower Gel that the Doctor suggested and it seems to be working. I haven't gotten a new one YET. In fact, the ones that I had are going away let's see what happens.

Hi
You can use the Belledona Plaster (White Plaster with holes) on the boil. Keep it there for 3 days and remove the plaster. Without pain, without growing the boil bigger enough, you will be relieved from boils.
But i get the boils inside the nose and on the lip where I am not able to apply plaster :) :)
After suffering for 1 year and after moving to several doctors, i got to know about this plaster from an old lady :) :)

I get painful boils all the time and. I found the quickest relief and getting rid of them
Is to use germolene, available every chemist ans supermarkets.. Apply the cream and put on a plaster ... By the morning remove the plaster/band aid and the pus will have been released. Also use a hot water bottle and place this on top of the boil with the band aid and this will quicken the process. You can also get germolene with anaesthetic properties which numb the pain until the pus is realised. Hot showers and exfoliating helps get rid of them reoccurring. Also for the ladies do not shave legs etc as many of boils are caused by Ingrowing hairs. Waxing is effective to reduce this.

A more temporary measure is to ask doctors to prescribe hibi scrub... Long term use not recommended however applying this instead of your normal soap/shower gel pops the boils a lot faster!

Good luck and I hope it is as effective as it has been for me!
