The wedding day is one of the most cherished days in the lives of people. The memories of this day captured in photographs and organized into a wedding photo album last a lifetime. These albums become even more cherished if they are handcrafted specially by you. In fact, you can put together a handcrafted wedding photo album for your close friend and gift it to him\her on their anniversary.
Supplies Needed
- 1\2 yard of a thick ribbon
- Wedding photographs
- Acid-free parchment paper and adhesive tape
- Colored inkjet printer
- Decorative paper like Vellum for the album cover
- Eraser
- Pencil
- Hole-punch
- Self-adhesive photo corner
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Black cardstock paper
Instructions
Step 1: Scan and edit the photographs you wish to put in the wedding photo album.
Step 2: Cut the parchment paper and a black cardstock paper in 9 1\4”x5” size i.e. the size of your album.
Step 3: Look for a decorative border template on the internet and print it on Vellum or any other decorative paper as the cover of your album, so that the first photograph of the album will be visible through the cover. Trim the Vellum to the size of the cover as well i.e. 91\4”x5”.
Step 4: Draw 1 1\4” margin on the left-hand side of the cover, parchment paper and cardstock using a pencil. This will act as the ‘gutter space’ while binding the wedding album.
Step 5: Punch holes on each parchment paper, so they are centered in the gutter.
Step 6: Now, paste the photographs on the paper by attaching the photo adhesive tapes to their backsides.
Step 7: Position four self-adhesive photo corners on each photograph to give it a finishing.
Step 8: Arrange these pictures in a desired order, place the printed cover as the covering sheet and the cardstock at the back of the album.
Step 9: Use a ribbon to secure these together and trim the ends of the ribbon diagonally.
