So, it’s Father’s Day and you want to gift your dad something really special. Why not give him a smiley stress ball that can sit on his work desk, reminding him of you. This squishy thing with a cute smile is a great stress reliever. What’s more, it can be made in no time at all.
Things you’ll need to make a smiley stress ball are:
- A bright yellow round balloon
- Fine sieve
- Sand
- Black permanent marker
- Ribbon bow or cap
Instructions
Step 1: Strain the sand using the fine sieve.
Step 2: Fill the balloon with the sand until it is squishy and round.
Step 3: Tie a knot at the top to secure the balloon.
Step 4: Now use the black marker to make big eyes and a smiling face on the balloon. You can experiment with some funny faces as well. For instance, use a red market to show a tongue lolling out or use a silver pen to make bugs bunny teeth. You can also make hair around the knot of the balloon. Curly, braided, parted or long hair tied in a pony, whatever you like. Just use your imagination.
Step 5: You can write a short note at the back of the balloon that reads ‘Happy Father’s Day’ or ‘I Love U Daddy’ or ‘U R the Best Daddy in the World’ etc.
Step 6: You can add a little ribbon bow or a tiny cap on the top of the smiley, if you desire.
The smiley stress ball is ready to be squashed to death.
Making these balls is a fun activity for children and it is not just a Father’s Day gift. In fact, you can use these balls as party favors on your birthday or pajama parties. You can also keep one in your room as a piece of decoration.
Go ahead, make smiley stress balls. Have fun!
