For young teenage girls hoping to make it big as jewelry designers safety pin bracelet jewelry can be a good craft to start with. Otherwise also these accessories make beautiful gifts and party favors for young girls. They can sport these bracelets on festive occasions to match their outfit.

Here are a few ways of making some funky safety pin bracelet jewelry.

Colored Safety Pin Bracelet I

You’ll need 48 colored 2” safety pins, 96 metallic Pony Beads and 24” of 1mm elastic. Cut the elastic in two halves.

Tie a knot on one end of both the cords and string a safety pin head through one cord and its coil through the other cord. String two more safety pins alternating the direction of the heads. Now string a metallic pony bead on each cord.

Continue this pattern of stringing three safety pins and a bead until it is big enough to go around your wrist. Tie off with a double knot, dab some white glue on the knots and trim the extra elastic.

Colored Safety Pin Bracelet II

For this bracelet you will require 16 size2 colored safety pins, 32 pony beads and 20” 1mm elastic.

The method of making this bracelet is similar as above. The only difference is that instead of following a pattern of stringing 3 safety pins and a bead the pattern here is one safety pin and one bead.

Remember to alternate the direction of the head of the safety pin each time you string it so that one side of your bracelet does not become too big.

Golden Safety Pin Bracelet

For this bracelet you’ll need around 60-90 1 1\4” golden safety pins, Golden 4mm round beads, assorted size 0 sparkling beads of different colors, beading elastic and craft glue.

Open each safety pin and string a few golden and sparkling beads through them in a pattern you desire. Apply a little glue to the ends of the safety pins and fasten them. Cut the beading elastic into two halves and sting the first safety pin in them. The head of the safety pin through one cord and the coil through the other. Keep swapping the directions of the safety pins and continue stringing them till you get a bracelet of the desired size.

Tie off the ends, hold the knot with some glue and trim the remaining cords. Read about following Bracelets Crafts:
