Blanket craft is not just meant for people who are skilled at sewing or needlework. A no sew fleece blanket is something even a novice can make quickly and easily. You can make these blankets and matching pillows covers for babies, children and even adults.
Supplies Needed
Two pieces of Fleece Fabric of same size
1 to 1 1/2 yards for baby blanket (for each side)
1 3/4 yards for kids (for each side)
2 yards for adults (for each side)
You can take fabric in two different patterns or two plain colours or one in plain colour and one in a pattern.
Tape measure or scale
Scissors
One 4”x4” piece of paper
Instructions
Step 1: Remove any fabric fray from the fleece.
Step 2: Place the wrong sides of the two pieces of fabric together. Make sure that they are properly aligned.
Step 3: Put the square piece of paper on one corner of the fabric and cut out the corners from both the layers neatly. Repeat this for the other 3 corners as well.
Step 4: Using the tape measure or scale cut fringes that are 5 inches deep and 1 inch wide.
Step 5: Starting from one side of the blanket tie the front and the back fringe using an overhand knot. Similarly, tie knots for all the fringes around the blanket. You can tie a single or a double knot. Double knots will prevent them from untying especially when the blanket is being washed.
