Mother's Day is a special occasion to let your mom know how much you love her and care for her. You can express this love better by making some Mother's Day crafts which she can cherish for years to come.
Some Mother's Day craft ideas that will become treasured mementos having sentimental value for your mom are discussed here.
Hand Print Flowers Bouquet
Trace your hand print on five construction papers of different colors. Cut out each of these hand prints. Roll the hand print vertically from the part where the wrist should be and paste it to a florist's wire using magic tape. Make a bow of a green colored ribbon and glue it under the flower. Make five such flowers and gift them to your mom either as a bouquet or placed in a decorative vase.
Napkin Holders
These make a unique gift for mothers. You can make a set of 6 or 12 such napkin holders and your mom will love to display them on the next party she throws. Take a toilet paper roll or a paper towel roll and cut it into 1 1\4 inch rings using a sharp scissor. Apply some white glue on its outer surface and adorn it with beads, dried flowers, sequins, faux pearls, small buttons, ribbons and lace. Once the glue dries, place them in a small basket or box and gift them to your mom on Mother's Day.
Candle Holders
Take some modeling clay and make it into a circular or heart shape with a depression in the centre to hold a tea light. Depending on the type of clay you are using, smooth the candle holder by rubbing some water on the clay. Once the clay takes the desired shape engrave your initials along with the date on the underside of the holder. Adorn the outer edges of the candle holder by gently pressing some dried flowers and glass beads into the clay. Keep it on a waxed paper for a few days to air dry. Place a scented candle in the depression and gift it to your mom.
These crafts are fairly easy to make and children can take the help of adults if they face some problem. Mother's will appreciate their craftsmanship and effort in putting together these presents.
