Making royal Easter eggs is an easy and an interesting craft for kids. These jeweled Easter eggs can be presented to moms on Mother’s Day. The craft requires broken or outdated jewelry pieces or some fake or cheap jewelry or beads and old broken wine glasses, thus turning trash into treasure literally. They can be used as table centerpieces on Easter dinner or can be presented to friends and family on Easters.

Supplies Needed

  • Assorted jewels and gold beads like earring whose one pair has been lost or beads from broken necklaces or faux beads.
  • Plastic egg
  • Egg stand or a broken wine glass stem as a substitute
  • Golden or silver ribbon
  • Acrylic craft paint
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pencil
  • Two ribbon roses
  • Narrow Golden or silver braids

Instructions

Step 1: Open up the plastic egg and paint the two parts a color of your choice. It can be any festive color or golden\silver acrylic paint.

Step 2: Once both the parts dry, piece them back together and glue them to the egg stand using hot glue.

Step 3: If you are using a glass stand then you can paint it golden\silver as well.

Step 4: Use a pencil to make a pattern on the egg and then glue on the jewels and beads to the egg.

Step 5: Place the biggest jewel or your most favorite jewelry piece in the center of the egg.

Step 6: Glue two ribbon roses or any other decorative items you want just near the centerpiece, to highlight it.

Step 7: Create an interesting base for the egg where it is glued to the egg stand. You can do this by gluing some golden\silver beads at the bottom of the egg, going around the egg in a circle.

Step 8: Place a large stone at the top of the egg to create a dramatic effect.
