Fun Jar for Baby Blocks

Fun jar for baby blocks is a cool idea to recycle clear plastic jars. It is an easy trash to treasure craft that makes exciting gift packaging for baby blocks. The craft is so simple that you and your child can make it together. When your child grows up he\she can use it as a pen holder.

Supplies Needed

  • Acrylic Colors
  • An empty see-through plastic jar
  • Picture cut outs from magazines, cards or cartoon comics
  • Ribbons
  • Fabric flowers made of silk, sea shells, artificial jewelry and other embellishments
  • White craft adhesive

Instructions

Step 1: Peel off all the labels from the plastic jar and clean it properly.

Step 2: Apply some glue on the face of the pictures and cartoons and paste them on the inside of the jar so that they are visible on the outside. In this manner create a collage out of the cut outs making sure that the pictures look smooth and no gaps are left in between.

Step 3: Once the glue dries, coat the inside of the jar with an acrylic paint to provide a backdrop to the picture collage.

Step 4: Embellish the lid and rim of the jar with shells and jewelry pieces. Fill the jar with baby blocks and wrap a ribbon around it, making a bow at the top of the lid.

Your fun jar for baby blocks is all set to be presented as a Christmas or holiday gift to growing babies. Not only does it act as a container for baby blocks, it can be an educative game as well. You can list out the names of pictures on a piece of paper and then ask your child to locate them one by one on the jar. So creativity and education go hand in hand in this craft.
