- Celtic Knot Design
- Glue
- Construction paper
- Markers, poster paints, colored pencils or crayons
- Ruler
- A pair of scissors
- Tassel
- Pencil
- Compass or a paper puncher
- Clear Contact Paper
Manner of making Celtic Knot Bookmarks
Step 1: Search for a Celtic knot design pattern on the internet.
Step 2: Print out a copy of this design. Alternately, you can draw a basic Celtic knot design on paper, if you wish too.
Step 3: Color this design using crayons or markers in single or multiple shades.
Step 4: Cut out this design and paste it on the construction paper.
Step 5: Trace a line around the Celtic knot design keeping 1\4” distance from it.
Step 6: Cut the construction paper along the line.
Step 7: To make the bookmark durable cut 2 pieces clear contact paper. Remove the backing of the paper and press down the bookmark on one piece. Cover the back of the bookmark with the other piece of contact paper. Alternately, you can get the bookmark laminated. Let the colors on the Celtic knot pattern dry completely before covering the bookmark.
Step 8: After this you can punch a hole on the bottom of the bookmark and string a tassel matching the colors of your bookmark through it. The tassel gives a finish to the bookmark, though it is an optional feature.
