Bead craft is truly an exciting and fun art. You can give wings to your imagination and create the most exquisite things with beads and recyclable products lying around the house.

Accessorize your clothes

Beads are a perfect adornment for clothes and by tacking them on with glue or needle you can give a designer look to the plainest of your clothes.

Teenagers can experiment with beads to make some funky jewelry like safety pin beaded bracelets, beaded necklace and anklets etc. by stringing together colorful beads of various shapes and sizes in a pattern to match their dresses.

Beaded Products

You can thread beads in an intricate pattern to make customized cushion covers, table cloths, curtains and other household accessories for yourself.

Bead craft can be taken further to make beaded pencil topper, beaded bookmarks, yarn collage with beads and beaded lampshades.

Paper Beads Craft

It is not essential to buy beads from the market to practice this craft. You can make some gorgeous beads using paper. All you need to make beads at home is some colorful paper like some used gift wrap or Sunday comics, clear gel glue, water, narrow drinking straws, ruler, pencil, scissors and a string.

Make triangles on the backside of the paper you have chosen. The triangles should be 7 inches tall and should have a 1 inch base. Draw as many triangles as you want beads and cut them out. Dip them in a solution of glue and water (2 teaspoon glue and 1 teaspoon water), let the excess glue drip off and then wrap them on the straw. Start wrapping with the wider end, pattern side up to make a rolled bead.

Let them dry for a day and then remove the straw. Now you can string these beads in a thread or metal wire to make a necklace, bracelet or earrings.

The products made from bead craft can be used as gifts on friendship, teachers and mothers’ day or as party favors. Moreover there is no age to learn this craft. Kids, teenagers and housewives any one can take it up as a fun project.Read about following Beading Crafts :
