Is your kitchen a good, old-fashioned country kitchen with a modern flair? This is not surprising in the least. Some people know exactly how they want to decorate their kitchen so that it feels just like their grandmother’s kitchen, so warm and inviting. Others, in the meantime have absolutely no ideas as far as decorating goes. Still others will simply go by whatever feels right to them when they are setting up and decorating their country kitchen Let’s get something straight right here and now; there is no right or wrong way to set up yourcountry kitchen! The key here is that it is totally your kitchen so you need to set it up and decorate it as feels right to you, not to anyone else. There are guidelines that you could follow if you chose to; but it is totally yours to decide in the end.
Color ideas for your country kitchen
This is one of the first things; what color or colors will you start with? You might want to think about using earth tones (browns, tans, greens, reds, purples and blues) as well as gray, black and white. This gives you quite a range of colors and shades to work with. There are times that you might want to go with tan for the cabinets and trim and paint the walls a very light blue or maybe a lighter shade of brown and have a ceramic (well maybe slate tile) floor. This will work well. Someone else might choose white for the trim, a country patterned linoleum floor, cherry finished cabinets and to paint the walls a pale shade of green.
Choosing a table set to match everything
This is something else to decide on; what size and style table and chairs do you want? Do you want a set that is unfinished so that you can customize it to your home? Or, do you have your eye on a simple Amish-style set that seat four? In either case there is no wrong answer. Right or wrong is really up to you. It is what fits your style, home and ideas.
