It is generally found in places that are not that fertile and has a rocky soil. It is generally found in areas that have the temperate climates and are more commonly seen in planes in the northern and central parts of Asia including Pakistan and northern Indian region.

Morphology |

It has a perennial shrub and a length of 4 to 12 inch and has a woody stem. Leaves are ½ to 1.5 inch in length having good veinous network Flower is white to light pink in texture and very much resembles the sea shells (shankh) in appearance hence found its Sanskrit name is shankh pushpi. The flower is divided into 1 to 3 parts. Fruit is oval inshape.0.17 to 0.2 inch in length. The plant fruits and flowers in winters and spring seasons respectively.
