If a person inherits the disease then he /she suffers from Alzheimer from an early age. Its occurrence is related to faulty genes. Generally its onset is experienced at a later stage of life. There are other factors that are responsible for the occurrence of the disease. The structure of the disease is so complicated that proper study of the disease is not possible. The medical researchers are trying to find the exact cause of this disease but no breakthrough has been made so far.

The most common symptom which is associated with this disease is that the memory power of a person starts to decrease. A calm person may suddenly start behaving in an agitated manner. The thinking ability starts to deteriorate. It is generally associated with behavioral problem. An Alzheimer patient has problem in communicating with others. Doing everyday task is also difficult for them. Dressing, washing and eating becomes a tedious task as the disease progresses. Any individual who is afflicted with this disease is unable to remember their known surroundings as well as the people. They very easily tend to get lost. They may also suffer from depression.

Alzheimer's disease treatment

There is no specific treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Though drugs are available yet these medicines are not complete cure as it only slows down the process of a forgetting. Mental functioning is impacted by this disease and so at times behavioral therapy helps a person to readjust with their normal life. Some suggest that dose of vitamin E helps in delaying the disease. Symptoms of depression can also be treated. Memory power can be treated with proper techniques.

People suffering from Alzheimer's disease need proper support. But full-time care becomes necessary at the later stage in life. Various tests are being developed to identify the Alzheimer's disease in its early stage.

Prevent This Disease from Occurring

There are no full proof methods by which you can prevent a person from being afflicted by this disease. This is because the exact cause of this disease is not known and so it is tough for a person to keep him /herself away from the cause hence preventing the malady. A person suffering from some heart disease has more chances of developing Alzheimer disease. One should not smoke; keep the blood pressure and cholesterol level under control. Regular exercises are absolute necessary. The diet should be a healthy and rich in vitamins C and E. Regular intakes of fish are also necessary. Proper weight should be maintained.

A person suffering from Alzheimer tends to have a short term memory and there is a gradual loss of memory. With the passing of years a person suffering from Alzheimer gets several bouts of mood swings. Confusion and anger also develops. Proper functioning of the body gets affected and eventually leads to death.

The cause of the Alzheimer's disease is still not known. But it occurs with the various complications in the brains. It is so complicated that proper understanding of disease is still not possible.
