Allergies are the abnormal reactions of the immunity system of a human body which disturb a person when the body comes in contact with some specific substances. Generally those substances may prove innocuous to a person whose immunity system doesn’t react against the presence of any such allergic substance.

what causes allergies:

Dust, latex, pollen, specific food or any thing can produce allergic reactions in a person. Environment and inheritance are the two major causes behind development of allergies. Environmental factors influences a lot in this specific sphere. It has been observed that allergies are common in the industrial areas where pollution is high. Various types of chemical products are responsible for generating these types of allergic reactions in those persons who are residing in that particular place. Genetics factor is another strong cause behind the allergic reactions. It has been observed that twins generally possess the same kind of allergic disease. Those parents who are being affected by an allergic disease generally give birth to those children who can also be affected by the same kind of allergic diseases.

Symptoms of Allergies:

The symptoms of allergies can vary depending upon the traits of an allergic disease. There are some general symptoms of allergic disease. Swelling of the nose, coughing, sneezing, inflammation in some parts of the body, rashes in the skin, vomiting, fever are the most common symptoms of allergies and these symptoms generally generate inconvenience to a person. Some of the allergic reactions may produce some severe result. The swallowing of throat or face, a sudden drop in the blood pressure and facing complexities in breathing are the most severe kind of reactions that a person can face who is susceptible to an allergic disease. These kind of symptoms need immediate medical treatment before the situation aggravates.

Treatment of Allergies:

Though there are various types of treatments available, most of them can only provide a temporary relief from the allergic reactions. Few of the allergies can be cured if it is treated properly. Creams, tablets, eye drops and sprays can be used for getting relief from the allergic reactions. In present time Allergen immunotherapy can be chosen for getting relief from this traumatic situation. This therapy may take some time but it is thought to be one of the best available therapies. Scientist and doctors are trying hard to invent a vaccine that may eradicate this disease.

Various tests are now conducted to get minute details known about the allergies. These tests are really important to trace out the exact condition of an allergic disease. Examining the blood and analyzing the condition of the skin are two most prominent tests generally executed for confirming the exact situation of the disease. There are some simple tricks available that can help a person to stay away from the strong reactions of an allergic disease. Keeping oneself away from the allergen can certainly help a person to avoid the dire consequences. Targeted therapy and immunotherapy can also help a person to restrain the strong allergic reaction.

Advice for staying away from this disease:

As the population and the pollution are increasing at a rapid speed, the incidents of allergic reaction are becoming more frequent. Therefore one must take some precautions so that he can evade the reactions of allergies. If a specific substance can cause allergic reaction in ones body, he must try hard to evade that situation. For instance if a person knows h/she is allergic to dirt he must try to stay away from that situation. One needs to consult a doctor who has specialization in this specific sphere.
