Do you know someone who is a travel lover? Would you like to give them a travel related gift, but you aren't sure what you could give? If so, read these suggestions and you should have a better idea of what you could choose.
First, it's safe to assume that every traveler is going to need luggage. Some common types of luggage are suitcases, duffel bags, trunks and totes. These can be purchased at most department stores or with various retailers on the internet. Prices will vary, depending on the brand of the luggage and the size of it. Personalized luggage tags with the last name of the person, would be a good idea as well. One item that would be excellent for a travel lovergift (especially if they often go to foreign countries) is a multi-language talking translator. This handy, electronic, hand-held device will help them break the language barrier when visiting another country, by giving the traveler translations with audio, so they can hear the words and be able to pronounce them correctly.
There are many other things a travel lover could use on their trips. Some examples of other items that would make good gifts are binoculars, a digital camera, a camcorder, and a pair of sunglasses or a hat. If the traveler often goes to places with rainy or cold climates, you could consider giving them an umbrella, a scarf, a pair of gloves, or a coat. Some other accessories a traveler would find useful are travel wallets, cosmetic cases, passport holders, travel pillows, and a travel grooming kit (with such things as combs, toothbrushes, shampoos, etc).
While on a long plane trip or car ride, a travel lover could also use some items to help pass the time. Some examples of these items could be a portable game (i.e.: electronic handheld poker), a crossword puzzle book, an mp3 player with ear phones, a portable DVD player, or some magazines. A traveler may also like any books related to travel, to help them prepare for a trip, or to read and pass time while on a trip. If the person you know would like to do more traveling, but are short on money, then you could consider buying them plane tickets or tickets for a cruise. That way they could be able to do what they've dreamed of, without having to worry about the financial circumstances.
Hopefully these suggestions have helped you choose the right gift for a travel lover you know.
