Do you have a friend, co-worker or family member who you haven't seen in a while or who may be feeling a little down? Do you want to show that you are thinking about them with a gift, but aren't sure what you could get? If so, here are some suggestions you may want to think about.
First, you could consider giving him or her some bright, colorful balloons. This is a simple way to help cheer them up. Flowers are very commonly given as "thinking of you" gifts also. Red roses would probably be the best choice, but any other pretty flowers, such as daisies would be fine as well. Gourmet food items, snacks and sweets would also be appropriate gifts. Some of those could include an ice-cream bucket and scoop (which you could specially order with an engraved message on the bucket), a fruit basket or a box of fine chocolates. You can't go wrong with some fresh cookies or a cake either. For drink items, a wine or Champaign gift could be given as well, and you could include them in a gift basket with some other various items, such as crackers or cheese. They also make special "thinking of you" teacups and coffee mugs, so you could consider giving those and accompanying it with some kinds of teas or coffees.
Some other "thinking of you" gifts could be a comfort candle, an engraved picture frame, a teddy bear, a happiness necklace (with the Chinese symbol for happiness), a monogrammed keychain, an engraved garden sundial, a luxury picnic valise, or a set of spices. Some relaxing bathroom items, such as soaps, shampoos and lotions would work well for gifts too. If he or she enjoys spending time in the garden, you could consider giving a gardening kit, there are many available to choose from.
Finally, if you still can't decide on what kind of gift to purchase, you could always consider simply giving a gift certificate. If you know the person likes to shop at a favorite department store, then you could give them a gift certificate for that, or possibly treat them to a free meal at their favorite restaurant. If they are under a lot of stress, you may also want to consider purchasing them a gift certificate or coupon for a relaxing session at a spa, for a pedicure, manicure and so forth. Maybe he or she has a favorite sports team? You could buy them a couple tickets for an upcoming game.
Hopefully you have found these ideas to be helpful in making your "thinking of you" gift selection.
