It would probably be best to avoid giving jewelry as a gift, but a simple watch would be suitable, as long as it's not overly priced or fancy. Remember, you want to show the teacher your appreciation, but you don't want to make them feel uncomfortable.

You could also give a food basket, such as one with an assortment of fruits or a selection of candies. Another good idea for a gift would be tickets to a sports game (if you know the teacher has a favorite team) or tickets to see a theatre production.
