Since you can't wear black with every outfit, you may want to consider another neutral, such as beige or taupe. If you want to buy a pair of shoes for the woman to wear out on a date or for a company party, then you may want to consider an open toe dress heel. This shoe can be a closed back pump or a sling back; the heel is typically 3 or 4 inches. A tall boot or knee-high boot could also be a nice selection for the woman you are shopping for.
