It is mainly used for transporting clothes and other possessions for trips. Besides the garment bag, there is also the duffel bag and the carpetbag. A duffel bag, is a barrel-shaped bag, almost always soft sided, and is suitable for casual travel. Moving on, there is the carpetbag. A carpetbag, is a traveling bag made of carpet, usually from an oriental rug, they range in size from small to large, like a duffel bag. Finally, there is a type of luggage, known as the tote. The tote is a small bag, which is usually worn on the shoulder.
Luggage can be purchased at most any department store; prices will vary depending on the brand, the size and the type. It would also be helpful to know what the person would be using the luggage for, so you have a better idea of which kind of luggage gift would be the best for them.
