Do you plan on giving a handbag or a wallet for a gift to a friend, co-worker, family member or significant other, but you aren't sure what would fit them best? Here are some suggestions that will hopefully help you out on your quest.
First, with handbags, there are many different styles and brands, with various looks, sizes and of course, prices. Just like cars, some handbags are made to look classic, practical, trendy and some are just meant to show off and look nice. One of the most popular types of handbags is: the Accordian. Accordian handbags are made with two or three pouches side by side, and then fastened together by snaps, stitching, or fasteners that allow opening and closing of the bag, depending on its capacity. Another popular type of handbags is the Baguette. The Baguette is a long, narrow, small bag, with a shoulder strap and is carried under the arm. Next, is the Balantine, which is made of leather, metal or fabric? The Balantine swings back and forth at knee height, while you walk. These happen to be quite popular at the present. Moving on, there are the Clouch and the Pompadour. The Clouch is also referred to as the "Pouchette" and is a small lady's bag, without a handle or a strap. The Pompadour, is a small velvet or lace pouch, worn hanging from a cord. It is used to carry small items, such as a notebook or money. Finally, there is the Purse. The Purse is basically a large pouch and has been around for probably the longest, it also is the one that typically has the most space in which to carry things in.
As for wallets, there are many different types of those as well. Even though wallets are more typically known for being used by men, they can be used by women also. The Bi-fold wallet is the most common type of wallet in which credit cards/identification cards are stored vertically or horizontally while bills are folded. Next, is the Tri-fold wallet, which is a wallet with three folds. It is essentially the same as a Bi-fold, except with an extra fold. Finally, there are the Breast-wallet and the Front pocket wallet. The Breast wallet is designed for being carried in a Men's breast pocket in a jacket. They are typically too big to be stored in the pants pocket. The Front pocket wallet is also referred to as a "money clip".
