If you don't wish to give an actual food gift, there are many useful items a food lover can use for their own kitchen. Some possible gifts you could give, would be a kitchen apron, a serving tray, pots, pans, silverware, a knife set, bowls, a cutting board, measuring spoons, chopsticks, salt & pepper shakers, a doughnut maker, a toaster, a waffle maker, a blender, a juicer, an ice cream maker, a slow cooker or a microwave. If you know the person likes to grill outside, some items you could consider giving them would be a grill canopy, a grill cover, a grill cleaning brush, a spatula, a tong, a grill thermometer, or a rack.
Any food lover might also appreciate a cookbook. You could pick out a cookbook that is specifically written for their favorite type of foods or one that covers a large variety of foods, in case you aren't sure what they like to cook the most. You could also consider giving a gift certificate for a kitchenware store or a coupon for a free meal at their restaurant.
