Do you or someone you know have an upcoming first anniversary and you want to give a gift? However, you aren't sure what type of gift you could give? If so, then these ideas may help you with making your decision.
First, let's say you are planning to give the gift to a friend or family member. Since they are celebrating an anniversary of being married together, it's a good idea to give a gift that they both can appreciate equally. It's also important to mention, there are traditional themes and symbols associated with the first anniversary. Specifically, the traditional theme is paper, the contemporary or modern theme is clocks, the flowers are pansies and the gemstones are fresh water pearls. So you may want to give a gift that incorporates some of these items. Some examples could be an anniversary keepsake book, a print of their favorite painting or mural, a bouquet of flowers (pansies would be the most appropriate), a sundial, a kitchen timer, and a wall or desktop clock. There are also anniversary ornaments you can buy as well. However, if you still can't decide on a gift, then you could just treat them to a free dinner at their favorite restaurant or just give them some cash, so they can indulge in whatever they desire.
If you are a husband and planning to give a first anniversary gift to your wife, jewelry would be a great way to go. Specifically, if you wanted to give her a necklace, you could give her a white gold diamond one with hanging drops of fresh water pearls. An eternity ring would also make a nice jewelry gift for your spouse. Some other things couples could give one another are anniversary flowers, balloons, champagne, perfume or cologne. Also, tickets to a sporting event, theatre production, concert or any other activity you can attend together, would be a terrific gift. You could even sign you and your partner up for dance lessons; treat each other to a romantic cruise or a getaway to a lodge somewhere in the mountains.
Hopefully you have found these suggestions to be helpful in making your decision for a first anniversary gift.
