You love your mother and also see all the pain she takes as a single parent to raise you into a great human being. Below are given some poems which are dedicated to single mothers.
I sit and look out upon the life of a single parent
I hear the single mother's selfless cries of loneliness for her child in the still darkness of the night
I see the mother awaking her child with a playful game of peek-a-boo with a smile as warm and bright as the afternoon sun at its apex of the day
I mark the loving kindness she expresses toward her son even with the all the trials and tribulations this world puts upon her
I observe the mother getting herself ready for work with the misgivings of the coming day (where are my socks, did I already put salt in the eggs, where did I put my keys)
I observe the quiet darkness of the child's bedroom with the mother sitting on the bed with a Bible in hand telling her child of all the wonderful things of Gods love then kissing him good night
All these things are things a mother has to do to help her child grow
See hear, and be not afraid you can succeed with Gods help

She’s a single mother
Going through the struggle
Of raising her children alone
She’s both mama and daddy in her home.
She’s in and out of court
Trying to get some type of support
But the daddy can’t seem to keep a job
He doesn’t care if his children eat or starve
Just because they didn’t marry
He doesn’t feel he should be a “daddy”
So, she does the best she can
Trying to raise boys into men
Sometimes she feels so overwhelmed
Wondering if she’s going to fail them
At night she finds herself asking, “Why?”
And then sometimes she just has to cry.
The weight of the world is on her shoulders
As she watches them grow up and get older.
Sometimes they’re governed by unknown forces
And they don’t always make the right choices
But her job is to nurture and love them
And the rest is up to God if she trusts in Him.
