Paper craft is a very interesting and indulging activity. Glue, scissors, colors and lots of paper to cut, stick and waste. This activity can start well even with the age of 2. In fact toddlers find paper craft more interesting than big kids as it is very new to them and colorful too. However, even big kids can make good handicraft using their own creativity and imagination. Some easy paper crafts items which children can make on mother’s day are mentioned below:
Bouquet in Hand Craft:
Supplies needed:
- Scissor and Glue
- Crayons, markers paints and brushes
- Colorful paper for flowers
- Plain paper if colors are to be used
- A base paper to stick the bouquet
- One small skin colored paper to trace the kid’s hand on it.
Procedure:
Trace the kid’s right hand on the skin colored paper and cut.
Stick the hand on the base paper, only the palm portion.
With the crayon or marker, draw the stem and its branches. Take care to draw it on the palms.
Paste the finger tips of the hand as though the hand is holding it.
Trace the flowers on colorful sheets and leaves on the green colored sheet.
Cut he flowers and leaves and paste them on the tips of the stem.
The Great bouquet is ready.
Star Wreath
- Supplies Needed:
- Red, white and blue construction paper.
- Scissors and Glue
- A large paper plate
- Glitter (optional).
Procedure:
Cut a large hole in the paper plate.
Cut 15 stars each in red, white and blue construction.
Stick stars on the circle of the plate, and add glitters.
Monster Piñata Craft
Supplies needed:
- A large paper bag
- String
- Tissue Paper
- Glue & Scissors
- Crepe paper streamers
- Candies, small toys
Procedure
Fill the paper bag with; say about half, with candies and small toys.
Keep the bag upside down and staple the top shut.
Punch two holes on that top in the centre little away from each other.
Cut the tissue paper in strips of 2” thickness and cut fringes in them.
Cover the bag with the strips and decorate with paper cut-outs, paints, etc.
Tie a long string through the punched holes.
Glue long streamers from the bottom of the Piñata.
