BUTTERFLY PENCIL TOPPERS:
Supplies needed:
- Pencils
- Colored fun foam
- Paper to make butterfly
- Glue & Scissors
- Black pipe cleaner
- Sequins, buttons and other decorations
Procedure:
- Draw a butterfly on a piece of paper.
- Trace this butterfly on different colored fun foam.
- Cut this along the outline.
- Fold the butterfly from the centre and make two slits for the pencil to go in.
- Decorate the butterfly with sequins and small buttons.
- With the black pipe cleaner make the antenna of the butterfly and make a loop through the pencil slits. At the two ends, make two loops.
STRING OF GINGERBREAD PEOPLE :
Supplies Needed:
- Brown construction paper
- Yarn or string
- Scissors & glue
- Markers – blue, red, yellow and black
Procedure:
- Call few of your kid’s friends.
- Make templates of Ginger bread men and women.
- Trace the templates on brown construction paper and cut along the outline.
- Ask all the kids to decorate the ginger bread shapes according to their choice.
- Glue a long string at the back of all gingerbread. Place them at equal distance.
- Decorate the Bulletin board with this string.
- Similarly make the decorative string out of fruits, stars, flags or ghosts.
PINCH POTS:
Supplies Needed:
- Clay
- Paints
- Paint brushes
- Stars and sequins for decoration
Procedure:
- Roll clay into big circles.
- Stick your kid’s thumb and fingers to make small bowls or pots.
- Paint the bowls
- Shape some into baskets and paint these baskets in different colors
- When dry stick some sequins and stars.
- Fill these with small tit-bits of your kids and place them on their study table.
- This’ll inspire them to make some more crafts for themselves.
