A Perfect Sunday Breakfast
Ginger bread Waffles needs very little time to prepare. It is easy to prepare as well. However the best part is that even children can prepare this dish to fill their parents’ heart with pride and happiness, but, of course, their stomachs with Gingerbread Waffles.

Ingredients
- 3 cups All Purpose Flour
- 3 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp. ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground Cloves
- 2 tsp. grounded Ginger
- ½ tsp grated nutmeg
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- ½ tsp salt
- 4 Eggs
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
- ¾ cup melted butter
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup Molasses
- Fresh fruits or whipped cream for Topping
Preparation
Preheat the waffles iron to medium.
In a large bowl mix together all purpose flour, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, salt, and baking powder.
In another bowl, beat eggs and brown sugar, until it forms froth. Then beat buttermilk, milk, and molasses. Add ginger and grated nutmeg and mix.
Add the combined flour to the eggs’ mixture and keep stirring constantly, until a smooth batter is formed.
Add melted butter to the batter and again combine thoroughly. Patience pays.
Pour about ½ - ¾ cup of batter into the preheated Waffle iron. Bake for 3-4 minutes.
Serve Hot.
Add toppings of fresh fruits and whipped cream. It can be served with maple syrup.
Gingerbread Waffles can also be prepared beforehand and served later after heating in an oven. Hence children should prepare the Waffles a night before and surprise their Mom and Dad the next morning. A Sunday Treat to the most Lovable persons in the world.
