A delicious and nutritious Recipe for breakfast

Apple Pancakes are moist, delicious, nutritious, and easy to cook, requiring not more than 35- 40 minutes. Apple pancakes are not only easy to prepare, but also liked amongst the young and old.

Time required

  • Prep Time 10-15 Min
  • Cook Time 25 Min
  • Total Time 35-40 Min

Utensils Required

  • One Large Bowl
  • Scoop spoon
  • Spatula
  • Griddle or Frying pan
  • Oven
  • Serving Plate
  • Skillet

Ingredients

FILLING

  • 5 tbsp. butter
  • 3 lbs. tart cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced into ¼-inch-thick wedges
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon

PANCAKES

  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 ½ Cups Milk
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Floor
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 6 tbsp Butter
  • Confectioners Sugar

Preparation

FOR THE FILLING:

Melt 5 tbsp of butter in a big, heavy bottomed Skillet, at a low heat. Let the butter subside. Then add apple slices to the butter. Cook and stir gently. When apple starts softening then add sugar and cinnamon powder. Let the apples cook for some more time and when they start changing their color then take the skillet, off the heat.

Filling is ready.

FOR THE PANCAKES

In a large mixing bowl, pour all the eight eggs. Add milk and beat them with whisk or fork. Blend the two ingredients properly, not overdoing it as well. Mix the salt and

confectioners sugar to the blended mixture. Fold in the whole wheat flour by adding small portions of it at a time. Stir constantly all the time or it will lead to formation of lumps which is not good for the batter.

Take another heavy bottomed skillet; melt one tbsp. of butter over low heat. Pour approx ½ cup of the batter and revolve the skillet to spread the batter evenly in it. Drop the filling evenly on the batter and let the mixture cook for 3-4 minutes. Pour another ½ cup of batter and spread evenly. Change the sides of the pancake with steel

spatula. Let the other side cook for 2-3 minutes and then put the Apple Pancake on the serving plate. Sprinkle some confectioner sugar on the cooked pancake. Serve Hot.

For each successive Apple Pancake, just add one tablespoon of butter and repeat the process.
