When two individuals get attracted to each other out of mutual interests and affection for each other, it results in friendship. In friendship, trust is the most important factor which makes a friendship healthy. Whenever there is breach of trusts in friendship, it breaks. Because of this trust only, you share lots of secrets with your friends. You have strong belief that your friends will not let out your secrets out in front of anyone. Sometimes you can share your secret feelings with anyone even your parents, you share them with your friends. In the same manner, your friend trusts you and shares his or her secrets with you. He/ she also expects the same from you; you can not leak his secret out.
A friendship is worthy only when your friend and you can trust each other. A true friend is always trustworthy. You are not supposed to use a friends’ secret even as a joke. You can share your deepest secrets and fears with your friends. You can make confession before him. You know that your friends will never take advantage of it. If you let out your friend’s secret to other people, it is not only you breach that particular friends’ trust and loose him. But you may loose other friends too because no body will trust you for any thing. This action of yours may let you loose your respect among your peer group.
It is generally thought that only girls make secrets but it is not the fact. Boys too have their share of secretes like first crush, fears, relationships or other boyish talks which they can not share with their parents. Also age has nothing to do with secret sharing with friends. People of all the ages share secretes with friends.
You can keep your friends’ secret in following ways:
- Do not tell anybody how hard they try. Suppress your urge to tell the friends’ secret.
- Do not act as if you have some inside information.
- Play along and stay calm.
- Just simply refuse to tell anything if others ask you.
