The story of the Easter Bunny book is the perfect addition to the Easter gift basket for a child. This is a great story book to understand the origin of lovable Easter bunny. Easter bunny is the cutest and the most lovable Easter character and the symbol. Children eagerly wait for the Easter bunny that brings all sorts of goodies, cookies, chocolates, colored Easter eggs and the Easter gift baskets for the kids. In this story, author narrated in a very interesting way how a pet rabbit becomes the Easter bunny by a small act of kindness.
It is told in this story that Easter bunny was not always the Easter bunny. He was not the one who colored the eggs and prepared the gift baskets for the children. It was an old couple living in a small and poor cottage, who did all this preparations for the children. This cute rabbit used to watch their work and all the preparations for the Easter. That couple was growing old and found it unable to complete that work. Then this rabbit started helping them out in making baskets, coloring eggs and distributing the gifts to the children in the village.
Then gradually man and his wife become too old to do that task and at that time, rabbit took over entire responsibility to complete the Easter task of making baskets, coloring eggs and delivering the gifts to children. Children came to know about the work done by the rabbit. Then he left the old couple to set its kiosk in the shady woods along with his rabbits friends to help him out in his work. There he found a big hollow tree where he could have large space to make chocolates, color eggs and weave baskets.
Apart from the interesting storyline, there are great colorful illustrations made by Sally Anne Lambert.
