Making Easter eggshell baskets is interesting and popular Easter craft activity. You can see many people and children coloring the eggs and weaving the baskets. Materials Required:
- Plastic rounded bowl or butter container
- Craft glue
- Sponge paint brush
- Easter egg coloring kit or paints
- Paper plate
Method to make the basket :
For this you will need many shells. You should collect many egg shells before starting the craft activity. Then color the eggshells using the Easter egg coloring kits. For that wash the eggs, take out whole content of the egg using the sharp pin. Then decide and draw the pattern over the shell. Dip it into the coloring solution and when desired color is obtained, remove it from the solution and dry over the paper towel.
Crush the eggshells into small pieces and mix the pieces making sure that there is proper blend of different colors. Apply glue on a small area of the container which you want to use for the basket using sponge paint brush. Now bring that glued area near crushed shells and dip it into them. After that, gently press the shells to let it have flat appearance on the container surface. Cover whole container like this and place it to get dry. You can fill this basket with Easter grass and Easter eggs or you can use it as Easter candy dish.
