How to Prepare Daffodil Easter Cake
Set the oven to preheat at 350 degrees F (175 Degrees C).
Next, make the tube pan completely grease-free by washing it with hot soapy water.
Take a large metal or glass bowl and beat egg whites to make it frothy. In between, keep adding cream of tartar and salt and continue to whip. When this mix can make soft peaks, start adding sugar gradually and continue to beat until it forms stiff peaks. Take half of this egg white to another bowl.
Now add ¾ cake flour, egg yolk and orange extract in one half of egg white; fold until evenly blended.
Then take ½ cake flour and fold it in another half of the egg white and add vanilla extract to it.
Now take the prepared pan and keep adding 1 cup of each batter alternatively until all is done.
First bake it for 30 minutes in the preheated oven and then bake for another 20 minutes at reduced heat at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
When it is baked, invert it on the wire rack to cool (But do not take the cake out of the pan).
Once it is cooled, take it out from the pan and frost as you wish.
