Chocolate Chip cookies are traditional dessert, cooked in almost half of the American homes every year. These cookies are one of the favorite of cookies prepared at the Easter time. There are many places where you can find Chocolate chip recipe. These chewable cookies are delicious whether served warm or cooled. Ingredients:
Bleached All- Purpose flour – 2 1/8 cups
Baking Soda – ½ tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Brown Sugar – 1 cup
Granulated Sugar – ½ cup
Large Egg – 1
Yolk of Large egg – 1
Vanilla extract – 2 tsp
Chocolate chips or chunks (semi or bittersweet) – 1 or 2 cups
How to prepare Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Set the oven at 325 degrees F for preheating.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and pour in a large mixing bowl. Keep it aside.
Take another bowl and blend together butter and sugar either by hand or by the electric mixer. Add to it egg, yolk and vanilla. Blend all these ingredients very well until fluffy and light.
Now add to it dry ingredients gradually until mixed thoroughly.
Now this is time to add chocolate chips. This dough can be refrigerated up to two days.
Take around ¼ cup of dough and make into a ball.
Take this ball between both hands and stretch into two equal halves, using fingers of both hands. Rotate these halves into ninety degrees and keep the rough surfaces exposed. Now join these halves at base to make one cookie. Make sure that in this process, you do not smooth the rough surface.
Place about nine cookies on a paper-lined cookie sheets.
Bake these cookies, until they are light golden in color. Outer edges should be crisp and centre should be soft. It will take around 15 to 20 minutes.
