Decoration for Reception
A wedding reception is a celebration which is held in honor of newly married couple. At the time of reception all the friends and relatives get together to bless the newly married couple and wish them a happy married life. On the reception many wedding customs and festivities are held which make the event memorable.
On the occasion of Christmas, halls and churches are already decorated in their traditional style. On the occasion of your marriage, you can use your imagination for decoration to create a holiday fantasy. You can infuse holiday themes with the traditional themes to create magic that your guests will keep appreciating for years to come.
At a Christmas wedding reception, make sure that you incorporate Christmas theme in your decoration for reception as most of your guest are going to spend major part of their evening at your party. For that, you can decorate you room, head table, cake table and centre pieces with Christmas theme.
- Take a garland of evergreen or ivy to decorate the front of head table. Place it in such a way that it sweep across the table. Now weave holly and berries in the garland. Now illuminate it by intertwining the string of small white lights into it. To brighten up the table, place red or green pillar candles.
- Decoration of room can be made interesting by creating a winter scene. Hang large pieces of fake snowflakes from ceiling. Spread small snowflakes on the floor. You can bring magic to your reception decorations by setting an electric fireplace in the guest lounge. Make this place more decorated and cozy by arranging holiday rugs, bean bags, overstuffed chairs, decorated Christmas tree, stockings and other related decorations to give a homely feeling to the guests.
