Christmas Recipes
Christmas is the occasion of fun and food. No celebration of Christmas is complete with cakes, cookies and puddings.
Chocolate Angel Cake:
Ingredients:
Cocoa Powder – ¼ cup
Fine Wheat flour ( Maida) – ¾ cup
Salt – ¼ tsp
Hot Water – ¼ cup
Granulated Sugar – 1 ½ cup
White of 12 eggs
Cream of Tartar – 1 tsp
Method:
Set the oven at 350F for preheating. Mix cocoa powder and hot water and keep it. Take another bowl and sieve together flour, ¾ cup sugar, and salt and keep it. Now beat the egg to make foam and add cream of tartar. Beat it again to make it fluffier. Pour rest of the sugar in the egg mixture. Then pour the ½ of the flour mixture gently and mix it. Then pour rest of flour mixture in this mixture. Now add cocoa mixture in this mixture and stir well. Pour this mixture in a greased baking tray. Bake this mixture for 50 minutes and check with a tooth prick. When completely baked, let it cool. Then invert it on a plate and decorate with fresh berries and vanilla cream.
Christmas Fudge
Ingredients :
Butter – ½ cup,
Heavy Cream – ½ cup
Salt – 1/8 tsp
Powdered Sugar – 2 cups
Sugar – 1 cup
Vanilla – 1 tsp
Red and green, chopped candied cherries – 1 cup
Method:
Take a large saucepan and pour sugar, cream, butter and salt into it. Boil it for 5 minutes, over medium flame with stirring. Put the flame off and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir it well to make it smooth. Add cherries and again stir it. Take a baking dish and sprinkle cooking spray. Pour all the mixture into it and put in refrigerator for one hour for setting.
Chocolate Cupcakes:
Ingredients:
Flour – 1 1/3 cups
Baking powder – 1 ½ tsp
Baking Soda – 1 ½ tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Cocoa powder – ½ cup
Vanilla – 1 tsp
Dark Brown Sugar – ¾ cup
Skim Milk – 2/3 cup
Apple Sauce – ¼ cup
Egg – 1
Sugar
Method:
Set the oven at 350 F for preheating. Mix and beat flour, cocoa, egg, soda, baking powder and salt. Beat it well for few minutes. Prepare 12 muffin cups by putting paper liners. To mix well, pour milk as needed. Pour this mixture in the muffin cups and bake for 20 minutes. Them take out from oven and cool over the wire rack.
