You may have heard of Feng shui, or maybe even read about it and how it should be used to create a balanced and harmonized environment for you and your living space. It can best be described as an ancient Chinese art that was developed over 3000 years ago in China. It is really a very complex body of knowledge that is used to reveal how to create balance between energies of a space in order to bring health and good fortune for whoever is living in the space.

Feng shui is based on a principle that the world is alive and full of chi or energy. Some basic aspects included in feng shui include yin and yang and the five elements of wood, water, fire, metal and earth. There are also various tools used in feng shui to help create balance and harmony. One of the tools used is the bagua. This is a grid that contains nine main elements of life. To use the bagua, you can lay it over a plan of your home and find what areas of your home relate to the elements on the bagua. You can then use techniques and tools to help fix that area of your home that needs to be improved.

There is also a feng shui compass that is used to gain a deeper understanding of a particular building or site. There are also different schools of feng shui and they contain a significant symbolic aspect to them. The tools and techniques that are used in feng shui are used to improve the areas of your life that you feel need to be improved. To create good feng shui you need to create an environment that is balanced and has harmonizing effects in your home to allow chi or energy to remain positive and flow throughout your home.
