SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

One of the easiest and best ways to set the mood in a room is by the lighting. No matter what kind of mood that you are trying to create, you can easily create it by changing the amount of light that is in the room. Here are some techniques you can use to create the mood lighting that you want:
• Decide what kind of mood you want to set and create in your room, and how much work you want to put into setting the mood.
• You can use colors to enhance the mood lighting in a room: black symbolizes dark and death, blue symbolizes tranquility and peace, green symbolizes the environment and health, orange expresses warmth and energy, purple expresses wisdom and royalty, red indicates love, danger, desire and anger, white expresses purity and simplicity, yellow represents joy and happiness.
• Choose the color you want to use in your room, and you can paint to create that color effect.
• Choose the style of furnishings that you are using.
• Use miniblinds, curtains or other treatments on your windows to let in a certain amount of natural light.
• Reduce clutter and excess furniture to create an open and spacious feel to the room.
• Choose art that compliments your choice.
• Replace the flooring if you do not like the way it looks or feels, flooring can affect the feel of the room.
• Use colored or tinted light bulbs in your light fixtures. You can also put colored shades over your light fixtures to change the lighting effects of the room.
• Put plants in the room to emit refreshing and natural air to the room.

Doing any of these easy steps can help you to create the mood lighting that you want for your room.
