When you are trying to incorporate and implement feng shui into your office, it is important to know how and where to place your office desk to be most productive. Here are some tips to help you with the placement of your office desk:
• Never place your desk in a location where you have to have your back to a window; in feng shui this can represent a lack of support.
• Try not to place your desk so that you have to have your back to the door, according to feng shui that can make you vulnerable.
• Try not to place your desk in a location that it faces the door because the chi or energy that enters through the door may be overwhelming to you.
• If possible, try to position the desk so that your back is towards the wall and if you have a picture of an earth element such as a mountain on the same wall it can support you even more.
• The office desk should be positioned so that it is angled away from the door and is facing a picture on the wall of a water element such as a water scene or lake or even any artwork that has wavy lines.
• You can attract positive energy by placing five elements on your desk that attract good luck in your work. The elements should be placed on the desk following the Lo Shu grid. This includes placing your coffee or teacup towards the north, a crystal paperweight towards the northeast, your computer terminal towards the northwest, fresh flowers towards the east, a small green plant towards the southeast, a desk lamp or red item towards the south and a golden ingot towards the west.
Following these feng shui guidelines for your office desk can help positive chi or energy flow.
