Feng shui design can help you take advantage of the benefits of your home and create optimal chi or energy flow. There are positive and negative energies and positive and negative areas of your home. When you incorporate feng shui design to your home, it is done to enhance the weak areas of the home, and decrease the chi or energy that is too strong in other areas. This makes for a balanced and harmonious feeling and energy that is critical to a content and successful life.

One of the concepts that are used in feng shui design is power areas. Feng shui theory sees that there are nine power areas inside of buildings. Some of these have very good supporting energy while others are not as favorable. A power spot in a home is an area that can be either the whole room or a little corner of a room. But whatever the size of the power spot is, it is said to have strong associations in your life. Feng shui design can help you work with these power spots that are individual to you and your life.

If you are building a new house, you have the potential to create a wonderful feng shui environment that is full of positive flowing chi or energy. If you are already living in a place and there are elements of the home that you do not like, you can still use feng shui design to counteract that area and improve the positive chi or energy inside of it.

The thing to keep in mind is that you can make feng shui design work for you and your home as long as you concentrate on the most important problems and problem areas and take care of them first. By doing this, you can create healthy chi and energy to flow through your house and increase the positive elements in your life also.
