Why Aerobics is Good for You

aerobicgoodAerobic activity is very beneficial and even though it may look hard, it really is not.  All it takes is a pair of legs willing to workout.  Walking is an excellent form of aerobic activity.

Everyone knows how to walk and we do it every day without a thought. So why is it that when someone mentions aerobics we hide in fear and think that it is too hard?

Aerobics is the simplest form of exercise.  To make it a true aerobic exercise though we need to step up the pace.  For aerobic exercise to be beneficial we need to do it at least three times a week for thirty minutes each time.

The more you put into it, the more results you will see.  Aerobic activity is great for not only losing weight but for keeping your heart and lungs in shape.

Walking is just one of many ways to participate in aerobic activity.  Other forms of aerobics are bike riding whether it is on a stationary bike or a ride around the neighborhood, taking an aerobics class or doing the workout at home, swimming, jogging, or really anything else that brings your heart rate up and gets your lungs pumping.  The type of aerobic activity that you perform is an individual choice.

Walking is a free form of aerobic activity.  All you need is a comfortable, supportive pair of sneakers.

They do not have to be expensive.  If you decide to take part in an aerobics class then you will need some comfortable clothing to work out in.

You don’t need to spend a lot on the clothing.  Just find something that is loose and allows your body to move freely and breathe.

If you are new to exercising, have not done so in a while or are overweight then you should consult with your doctor before beginning any form of aerobic activity.

When you are ready to start, start slow and pace yourself.  Do not attempt to do too much at first.  As you become more acclimated to the routine you will see the results.
