What are some of the true and false bodybuilding myths out there?
So you’re looking in to body building but you don’t know exactly how to get started or if some of the myths that you have heard are true or false. Well I am here to tell you some of the ones that I have heard of and if they are true or false. Some of the myths you might have heard of and then you can take it upon yourself to listen if they are false and don’t put yourself through things that aren’t good for you. As well as the ones that are true, take note of them and have a great workout.
Working muscles until they fail is false.
The first one that I would like to discuss with you is the one about always wanting to work a muscle till it fails. This one is false. As you all know I am sure that in order to see the results that you want to see in a workout, it’s been said that you must overwork your muscle. In doing that you overwork it so that it tears and then grows back to be bigger and stronger, that is true. But what you don’t need to do is overwork them in every session. That isn’t good for you. If you overdue yourself in every session you could suffer from overt raining syndrome. What that means basically is that you are putting off everyone and everything to train and that isn’t good for you. Don’t forget there are other things in life besides training. In order to get the look that you’re wanting without over doing yourself and your muscles is to remember that you should take a couple days of rest.
The myth that more weight means bigger muscles is False.
The fact of the matter is that if you’re not eating more nutrients then what you’re working out, then you’re not getting any bigger. You have to eat enough and put nutrients into your body and enough of them to help maintain your body and build up new tissues or else you’re doing no good.
The third myth and the true one is that you should never work out more than an hour for a session.
This one is true. Working out for over an hour a session could be more harmful for you than good. If you’re doing over an hour, you could be making your blood sugar levels go down and that’s not good. You should focus on getting in the gym, doing a good workout and getting out. Remember to rest, don’t over work yourself.
