There are lots of ways to keep your skin healthy and glowing. There is an essential need for vitamins for healthy skin. Lack of vitamins can make skin lifeless, blotchy and dull, certain vitamins and minerals, when taken internally, can positively influence skin appearance, beauty, and a woman’s overall health. There is a strong relationship between nutritional intake and skin health. Regular intake of a multi-vitamin or eating fruits and vegetables rich in all the nutrients is necessary for good health.

There is a need to understand that which is the category of vitamins for healthy skin. Vitamin A gives strength to the protective tissue of the skin and prevents acne. It is very essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. It is also acts as a powerful antioxidant to flush out free radicals and toxins from your body which improves wrinkling and fine lines.

Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and is considered vital in wound healing because it aids in stabilizing collagen. It is essential to maintain your good look and prevents the appearance of “broken blood vessels”. When applied directly on skin, vitamin C can reduce fine lines and wrinkles and may lessen the severity of sunburns.

Vitamin E another necessary antioxidant that may have anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. When applied directly on skin, vitamin E has been known to improve moisturization, softness and smoothness and also provide modest photoprotection.

Vitamin K. As the nutrient responsible for helping blood clot, Vitamin K would not do much for your skin from the inside. Some researches have shown that topical vitamin K works well to reduce circles under the eye as well as bruises. A combination of vitamin A & K can be even more effective for reducing dark circles. A gel containing a derivative of vitamin K, as well as vitamins A, C, and E, is effective in reducing dark under-eye circles while also decreasing wrinkles.
